Mr Trump Finally Ready for Inauguration

TRIGGER WARNING:  In which I point out that Nancy Pelosi is a first rate hypocrite.

For John, BLUFPresident Trump will be illegitimate to the Democrats from now until the end of time.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

From The Hill, by Reporters Christina Marcos and Mike Lillis, from 6 January.

Here is the lede plus one:

Several House Democrats tried to raise objections as a joint session of Congress met to formally count the Electoral College results certifying Donald Trump's presidential election.

Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) cited Russia's interference in the election and alleged voter suppression efforts as he raised the first Democratic objection to Trump's Electoral College victory.

So here is Massachusetts US Rep Jim MoGovern's statement on his web site:
Today during a joint session of Congress to certify the election results, I stood up to raise concerns about the #RussianHacking in 2016 and the effort by Vladimir Putin to tilt the election for Donald Trump. Click here to watch my protest on the House floor.

Every American should be alarmed by this and we must all speak out to make our voices heard.  Like and share if you agree.

Let us be clear.  I don't agree.  And I think it is rubbish!

What exactly was Rep McGovern's plan if some Senator had signed on to his plan?  Or was that the plan?  The House Members make motions to injure the incoming Trump Administration, but the Senators protect them from themselves.  Who is more radical than Senator E Warren?  Yet she was silent.  She feels free to call Mr Trump names like she was on a school yard, but when push comes to shove, she steps back.  On the other hand, maybe they had no plan.  Pitiful.

Further down toward the end of the article in The Hill we have a discussion of the roll of former Speaker Nancy Pelosi.  Remember, she was the one who mocked then Candidate Trump for saying he would have to see the outcome of the election before he said it was OK.

Just hours earlier, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said she supported the message the objectors hoped to send, even as she acknowledged the gesture would ultimately have no practical effect on the results of the election.

"It's not going to … have an impact on the outcome of the election. So that's not the point," Pelosi said. "But I think that people don't want the day to pass without registering concern. … In some cases, members are concerned about voter suppression, some cases they are concerned about Russian influence on our election. There are a number of concerns."

"But really, it's not going to have an impact at the end of the day," she added. "Donald Trump will be … elected president of the United States by virtue of the Electoral College, and that's what will happen."

Pelosi sat a few feet away from the table where the unruly Democrats gathered during the joint session, but didn't join in or attempt to stop their efforts.

Here is where we are, although the media hasn't tumbled to it and the Republicans are just holding their breath until the President is Inaugurated. : The Democrats and the Intelligence Community (IC) are trying to turn the United States into Pakistan.  At first I thought they were trying to turn us into a banana republic, but then I thought about it some more and decided it was Pakistan.

Why Pakistan?  Because there the Intelligence Service runs the country and decides who gets to run the country, under their leadership.  Now we have the Democrats teaming up with our own Intelligence Community to denigrate the election of Mr Trump.  The leaks to newspapers, the testimony before a Senate Committee the day before their report was to be released, thus allowing them to obfuscate and dissemble, are all signs of the system not working.  And worst of all was the use of the term "Hacking" to describe Russian penetration of Democratic Party computers.  While those using the term "Hacking" were quick enough to say that no election machine was actually hacked, no numbers were flipped, but still, the term "subliminally" conveys the idea that the Russians meddled with the election, changed the outcome.  Yet, there is no proof of that.

A friend of mine wrote:

I thought the Senators gave the IC a pass today [Thursday] on the CIA leaks post election asserting without evidence that there was “solid intelligence” showing that Russia not only hacked the DNC, but the purpose of this hacking was directed by President Putin and intended to advance the election of Mr Donald Trump.  Given that the IC was implying with these leaks that Mr Trump was elected because of the hacking of foreign power I would expect any politician where the legitimacy of his election is being questioned to say “I don’t believe it; prove it”  Said differently I find it alarming that the CIA and ODNI would publicly infer a US Presidential election is illegitimate, and unprofessional for them to do so by selective leaks to the media.
Exactly.

Hat tip to Memeorandum.

  I talked about this here.
After all, they aren't Chicago Democrats.
