The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Governor Scott Walker Gets Heat

For John, BLUFGov Walker is a threat.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Here is an article in the prestigious newspaper, the newspaper of record, The New York Times.  The Headline is "Wisconsin Governor at Center of a Vast Fund-Raising Case".  Here is the lede:
CHICAGO — Prosecutors in Wisconsin assert that Gov. Scott Walker was part of an elaborate effort to illegally coordinate fund-raising and spending between his campaign and conservative groups during efforts to recall him and several state senators two years ago, according to court filings unsealed Thursday.
So, is Governor Walker being indicted?

Or is this some sort of smear effort against a populist Governor?

Hat tip to the Althouse blog.

The bottomless cesspool that has become American politics is an abomination and a symptom of a society beset by narcissistic, power hungry people who will stop and nothing, employ everything and anything regardless of how base in order to achieve their self aggrandizing goals. Some pundit offered that the risk of having one's character......entire life....destroyed by the opposition keeps our most talented out of politics. I suggest that is only a half truth. Men of substance and impeccable character are not fearful, they are simply wise and choose not not stoop to the level of the stable floor and all it contains.

There was a time in America in which if you spread falsehoods about someone, you became criminally and civilly liable. That principle along with the rest of our morality sunk beneath the fetid waves of the sewage that is our political system today.
