A Saturday OpEd by Shuja Nawaz, Director of the South Asia Center of the Atlantic Council♠, touches on the issue of Wikileaks and its impact on Afghan-Pakistani relations.
It is an interesting take on the situation with Wikileaks and the some 90,000 EMails that are now out on the Internet, but which the Pentagon tells Service members they should not access, since it is still classified material. As an aside, that Pentagon mindset is hurting national defense.
My problem with the OpEd is that the author thinks that the truth is bad. In this case that ISI♥ is playing at least two different hands, and maybe more. So, Pakistan has a problem that it needs to fix and fundamental to the problem is fixing the ISI.
